To disable mouse support on VIM, you can use this command:

:set mouse-=a

I don't mean this.
I mean when I was in VIM, if not in edit mode, I can use mouse to select words, if I use 'a,i...' to enter edit mode, I'm not able to use mouse to select words because the cursor will move up or down when I click the mouse....

As you probably already know, all mouse options are set on VI editor itself. You can find VI mouse options at:

http://www.vim.org/htmldoc/term.html#mouse-using

If we are not on the same page, could you tell us what you are trying to do step by step?

As always, we appreciate your feedbacks.
