Mouse actions cease to work and output characters instead

In XShell 3.0 Build 0224, open an SSH connection, the put the computer on standby. The session will disconnect. After resuming, XShell will cease to interpret mouse clicks and mouse roll up/down motion properly in that terminal window. These actions will output in the terminal apparently random characters: B?#B?"BA#f8#f8a etc.

Program Ver. : Xshell 3.0

We tried duplicating the problem but could not. Could you tell with us how we can duplicate the problem in detail? (including OS type, service pack version, procedure to duplicate the problem).

Thank you.

Re: Mouse actions cease to work and output characters instead

Here's how I can duplicate the problem on Windows XP Pro SP2 and XShell 3.0 build 0224: 1. SSH into a Linux host (tried with RHEL and Ubuntu) 2. Lanuch an application that uses the mouse, e.g. aptitude or Midnight Commander (http://www.ibiblio.org/mc/) 3. Break the connection, outside XShell. For example, use Sysinternals TCPView to close the connection, or even unplug the network cable. 4. After XShell detects that the connection is down, it will switch to the XShell> prompt. Now, click in the XShell tab and you will notice the erratic characters being echoed at the prompt.
