how to auto save logs with new date directory

Hi experts,

Currently I am able to see the option to save logs automatically to %APPDATA%\NetSarang\Xshell\Log Files path. I need to check the option in which logs will be saved to daily to new directory based on current date. for en example today 6-APR-2018, files should get stored in directory %APPDATA%\NetSarang\Xshell\Log Files\2018406.

I can create the folder in advance thats not a problem. if xshell can create then it will be of great advantage

Re: how to auto save logs with new date directory

You can have Xshell create log folders with the date, time, and other desired variables.

First, set the default log folder in the Tools -> Options menu. Then set the log file name as desired in the session properties as such:

%Y%m%d\%n_%Y-%m-%d_%t.log

This will create a folder named as the current date and store a log whose name contains the session name, date, and time values.
