Xshell 5 - Putty Import works but session manager empty

Hi,

As the tittle says, I'm using the import tool for putty.

The tool runs perfectly and returns sucess, imported 32 records.

When I openXshell 5, the session manager is empty. There is no sessions in the box.

Please advise

Program Ver. : Xshell 5

[SOLVED] Xshell 5 - Putty Import works but session manager empty

UPDATE:

I figured it out. Basically the import tool dumps all the imported sessions into a different folder (than the default session folder).

Default Xshell 5 session folder is set to:

C:\Users\$YOURUSERNAME$\Documents\NetSarang\Xshell\Sessions

Putty import tool dumps the imported sessions in:

C:\Users\$YOURUSERNAME$\AppData\Roaming\NetSarang\Xshell\Sessions

Re: Xshell 5 - Putty Import works but session manager empty

Hey Chris,

Glad you got it figured out, but we've actually made an update to our session converter tool. The directory to which the imported sessions were saved was actually the default session folder for Version 4. Version 5's default session folder is different, as you've already found out.

You can download the updated tool on our website here: https://www.netsarang.com/extrafiles/xshell/3918/Putty,_SecureCRT_8,_ZOC_7_Session_Converter

When importing sessions, you'll now have the option to choose the directory you want to import the session to. When the save dialog box opens, it'll default to Xshell's default session folder.
