how to get more terminal lines on the screen

i normally use a 32 inch full HD monitor and have fiddled with all the fonts and sizes as well as the margin settings and am able to get a terminal window of 190 columns by 51 lines. the 51 lines seem to be the most i can get with a font size that is "easy on the eyes" at the distance i am from monitors.

i could get 54 lines (almost 6% more), but the main toolbar and the session tabs are too high. and, this is not because the text is too large. there is just a lot of wasted space above and below the text that could be eliminated and have zero impact on their legibility. for me, the trimmed-down tools bars will yield those extra three (3) lines and a gain in productivity by not having to scroll as often.

Thanks for the feedback. Have you tried our simple mode by pressing Alt+S? You can set it so you see only the terminal window.
