Please try the following method:

Run the program as an administrator and check the issue status.

a. Right click on installation file.
b. Select “Run the program as an administrator”.
c. Check the issue status.

Re: xshell 5 install failure // setup launcher unicode has stopped working

It was reported that this problem may occur if you do not have the following folders:

1. C: > Users > ("Yourname" Windows account ) > My Documents
2. C: > Users > ("Yourname" Windows account ) > AppData > Local
3. C: > Users > ("Yourname" Windows account ) > AppData > Roaming > Microsoft > Windows > Start Menu > Programs > Startup
4. C: > Users > Default > Documents
5. C: > Users > Default > AppData > Roaming > Microsoft > Windows > Start Menu > Programs > Startup

To fix this problem, try creating a new user account (Admin user) and install Xshell using the new account.
