Autotype user and password

Hi,
I am a new Xshell user, I used to work with SecureCRT and there was a very useful option that permit to digit any type of command, also in more string just pressing a Key.
For example, pressing a mapped key was possible typing:
user, enter, password, enter. Or any other type of commands.
I saw in XShell the option that permit to associate a script to a mapped key. How can I write a script that type
user, enter, password, enter ?

Usually I can't connect directly to a device but I must jump to it with telnet and ssh, so it is not useful save session with user and password.

Thanks

Program Ver. : Xshell 4

Re: Autotype user and password

It sounds like you can use the login script feature in the session properties. No programming is required. Open Session Properties and then Login Scripts. Add string that Xshell should expect and enter the password.

Re: Autotype user and password

I've a different need in my xshell usage. For exemple, I have one session where I connect always to the same server (initially), then, depending on where I need to go next I'll use a different ssh SERVER and based on that server my user/pass would be also different, to match that server. How to use a button to automate those logins?

Re: Autotype user and password

Login scripts of a session file is enough?
If you are going to use second step login once login into a server with quick command buttons or else, you can use VB script feature.
