Re: No matching outgoing encryption algorithm found

Go to the session properties > SSH > Security and click on the Edit button. Select everything in the Cipher list. Try connecting to the server again.

Re: No matching outgoing encryption algorithm found

It is a code change in opensshd,

openssh has removed weaker hashes from the standard proposals.

Re: No matching outgoing encryption algorithm found

I have same issue, search on xshell update site, find below message.
FIX: Encryption algorithm aes256-ctr added (No matching outgoing encryption algorithm found)
Maybe update to latest build will work, I am trying.

Re: No matching outgoing encryption algorithm found

To enable hmac-sha2-256 and aes256-ctr go to the SSH > Security page in the session properties. Click the Edit button for Encryption and MAC. Make sure everything is selected for encryption and MAC.

Re: No matching outgoing encryption algorithm found

We need to find out if this the encryption method is already supported in the recent version. Please try with the latest release and tell us if the problem persists on it as well.

Re: No matching outgoing encryption algorithm found

Sorry, if I am waking up an old thread. I couldn't find an answer to this in the FAQs.

Have you fixed Xmanagers weak pre-SHA2 hashes, the broken ciphers (arcfour), and the broken modes (CBC)? Xmanager (at least at version 4, current build) offers nothing better.

Clearly, that is the problem here. You're not suggesting we enable those in the Openssh implementations we're dealing with, are you? (They don't support those by default anymore for good reason, after all)

Re: No matching outgoing encryption algorithm found

indeed. i just installed Ubuntu 15.10 Gnome with openSSH and i'm running into this same problem.

I'm running XShell 3 which is what my company purchased for our techs. We are a small company so we cant just upgrade just because someone wants us to.

Netsarang wanting their customers to upgrade to the latest builds just because the security encryption changed with openSSH sounds to me like a revenue builder. support's resolution being you must upgrade i find that offensive and unethical.

there should be an update patch to fix this for the older versions.

Re: No matching outgoing encryption algorithm found

I second this last message. I would like to have the problem resolved without the need to upgrade.

Worked for me

Going to session properties > SSH > Security and picking the Edit button .
Selected all options in the Cipher list.
Actually : aes192-ctr , aes128-ctr , aes256-ctr

and it worked

Re: No matching outgoing encryption algorithm found

I had the same problem and the only thing that i did is to enable/check the aes192-ctr , aes128-ctr & aes256-ctr under the Connection->SSH->Security Settings->Encription->Edit.
The xshell works properly now with OpenSSH_6.7p1 which is installed at Ubuntu 15.0.4.

Thanks,
George

Re: No matching outgoing encryption algorithm found

I have same problem with xmanager 3.0 build 257. Now openssh server update on my RHEL6 systems, those updates are suggested as secure fixes, I must apply them, after the update, I cannot use xmanager to connect to them, since there is no stronger Cipher can be used.

I'm wondering will there be an update for xmanager 3.0 to fix this problem?

Re: No matching outgoing encryption algorithm found

@Leon

Xmanager has been updated from version 3.
Download the latest version and check the algorithms are included.

Hi Leon,

As dave mentioned, we are now on Version 5 of Xmanager. We are no longer releasing updates to Version 3. You can evaluate Xmanager 5 free for 30 days.

Hi,

Xshell still can't handle hmac-sha-256
I think this is my problem

usin putty i can see on the connection log and see this log

Re: No matching outgoing encryption algorithm found

Support for HMAC-SHA-256 has been previously implemented. Please make sure it is enabled in your session properties. I've attached an image for reference.
