I am using proxy myself and SSH myself without a problem.

Can you connect to the server using Putty?

And what is the name and version of the proxy server?

There is not enough information to suggest you with any solution. Please send us the following information, so we can further assist you.

  1. Name/version of the proxy server.
  2. Everything in the terminal screen after you press connect.

Re: Re: How to use proxy in xshell3 beta

I use squid for windows
on windows eth1 on internet and eth0 is intranet
use xshell3 connect host of intranet is right

I use socks5 and squid for linux
on linux host eth0 in intranet and one internet IP map to this linux host, now I have some internet host in fireward only use linux host to connect
I use putty can connect some internet host, but use xshell3 can not.

Squid Proxy does not support the SOCKS5 protocol. Please try using HTTP 1.1 instead.

Hope this helps.
