Terrible rendering in ncurses based applications

I have been trying to switch completely to XShell since it's 3x version it self upto it's latest version,

I would frequently work with various text based system configuration bundled with Redhat Enterprise Linux.

Redhat Enterprise Linux / CentOS / Fedora Core uses ncurses toolkit to offer text user interface for's it's various configuration utilities.

All those utilities are completely unusable in XShell.

I have attached in this email two screenshots to show how terrible the rendering is.

One is from Xshell and the other one is from Putty.

Please fix this compatibility issue in your application to make XShell the de facto application for connecting to Linux Servers from Microsoft Windows.

Program Ver. : Xshell 4

Try changing the encoding and terminal type.

Change the encoding and terminal type on the remote host with the following commands:

export LANG=C
export TERM=xterm

Set encoding on Xshell to Default or Western European.

Also, try setting the font to Courier new.

Thanks for your prompt reply.
The encoding to be set to UTF8 was all that required to make Xshell look beautiful even in ncurses based applications.
