Xshell does not send anything when selection is made on screen. Selection is displayed on screen but nothing is sent to the remote server.

Could you tell us how we can duplicate the problem?

I have the same issue.

OS: windows 7
Xshell version:

[Operation]
1. Open a session
2. Select a text line.

[Expect result]
text is selected, and highlighten.

[Actual result]
Text is selected, and highlighten.
But a '^C' is shown.
If a program is running, this program will be terminated.

We have tested mouse double click with Ubuntu 10.04 and Xshell. But, when selecting a word with mouse double click does not send/receive anything from the server. You can try this from the prompt.

Possibly this problem is related to mouse driver or third party application that uses mouse click action.

Hi dear engineer

Just as you said, a running program try to copy text line which selected by mouse to clipboard, so send a ctrl+c event.

Thank you for your reply.

Best Regards

Re: Xshell4, double-click the left mouse button can make a ^C

Xshell can copy text automatically when the "Copy selected text to the clipboard automatically" (Tools > Options > Keyboard and Mouse) option is selected. Please try disabling this option and try making selection again.

However, it does not use Ctrl + C to do this. For example, it is the same thing as clicking on the Copy button on the toolbar on any Windows applications. Ctrl + C is just the key combination that triggers copy but it's not the actual copying operation.

I met the same double click issue when I used xshell4, which returned Ctrl+C. Disable auto-copy and restart xshell didn't help.

We received a report that third party tools such as dictionary application can cause this problem. Please try disabling the third party application that acts on selected text.

Dear engineer,

You are right. This issue is caused by a dictionary in my case.

Re: Xshell4, double-click the left mouse button can make a ^C

my version is Xshell 5 Build 1044
I disabled all Option > keyboard and mouse
but ^C still send...
I also tried other software, will not appear such problems,This proves that not third party software led to the emergence of the problem
