Store username

In Xshell 3.0, is there a way to store the username? Not the password, just the username.

Program Ver. : Xshell 3.0

Re: Store username

To save only the username, enter the username in the Authentication menu of session properties and leave out the Password field.

Re: Store username

That's what I am doing but it is not saving it. I can put a username, then start a SSH session and it still asks me for the username.

Re: Store username

Please make sure you are editing the user defined session and not the default session. To do this, open the sessions dialog box (File > Open) and select the session you want to connect. Click the Properties button. And, enter the username in the Properties dialog box.

Also, try reinstalling Xshell or use an admin account if you are using a limited user account.

If the problem persists, please provide us with the following information:

1. Can you see the username on the Properties dialog box?
2. Server name and version (i.e. OpenSSH 4.0)
3. Connection protocol (i.e. Telnet, SSH)
