Sorry for the late response.
Your Linux is running a gdm and it's configuration looks good.
But the gdm on RedHat 6.0 has a bug in processing X terminals.
You can do one of the following two options:
1. Running xdm or kdm instead of gdm.
2. Upgrading gdm package.
We are not sure that this is possible.
Because RedHat 6.0 is a little older version
and the latest gdm couldn't be installed.
