Can XBrowser Window Title displays IP Address instead of Hostname

Hi, Everyone

I have a problem with XBrowser 4.

When I connect to a Unix Server through XBrowser, the XBrowser Window Title displays "Unix_Server_Hostname:177 - Xmanager 4 [:0.0] ". But I need the XBrowser Window title displays the IP address of the Unix Server instead of Unix_Server_Hostname.

Anyone can tell me how to do it in Xmanager 4? Thanks a lot!

Program Ver. : Xmanager 4
Connect Method : XDMCP connection

Re: Can XBrowser Window Title displays IP Address instead of Hostname

Title bar of Xmanager 4 is setup to display the hostname of the server by default.

In order to display the IP address on the title bar of Xmanager 4, please try renaming the hostname to the IP address.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. We are here to assist you.

Re: Can XBrowser Window Title displays IP Address instead of Hostname

Thanks for your timely reply.

I notice that I can make it in Xmananger 2 through changing the session name to IP Address.

Is there anyway to change the settings in Xmananger 4 installed at PC side instead of changing the hostname of the unix server. Changing hostname will impact the applications installed on the unix server.

Thanks so much for your support!

Re: Can XBrowser Window Title displays IP Address instead of Hostname

Please confirm if the following explanation is the feature you need:

Xmanager title bar displays the session name instead of the hostname.

Also, may I ask what you need this feature for?
