Re: Xmanager keeps crashing

First, please try upgrading your currrent Xmanger to the latest release by selecting Check for Updates in the Help menu.

If the problem persists, have you installed new hardware on your computer like RAM? If so, please uninstall and try running Xmanager without it.

Also, refer to the below link regarding error 0xc0000005:

We will try to duplicate this problem. Could you tell us the following information?

1. Steps to duplicate this problem.
2. What is the name and version of the remote server?
3. What is the connection method? (XDMCP, SSH, Telnet or Rlogin)

Thank you for your cooperation.

Re: Xmanager keeps crashing

I have exactly the same problem. Xmanager 4 crashes usually within minutes of my starting up a new session making it unusable for getting anything done.

I am also using Windows 7 64-bit.

Install Linux Mint 13 on a remote machine, establish a X windows session. Open a few windows, resize them and so on. Watch Xmanager 4 crash.

Linux Mint 13

XDMCP

Re: Xmanager keeps crashing

Crashed again. Here is a stack trace and other information reported by Visual Studio which may help you find the problem. (Clearly I don't have a version of Xmanager with symbols so this is the best I can do here. Still I think you should be able to use the address information in the stack trace to determine where it is failing).

Re: Xmanager keeps crashing

We have tested Mint Linux 13 Maya x64 with Xmanager 4 on Windows 7 x64. Xmanager worked well with Mint Linux 13 Maya. Are you using a different version of Mint Linux?

Also, could you try upgrading Xmanager to the latest build? To upgrade, select the Check for updates in the Help menu.

Re: Xmanager keeps crashing

I have also just started to experience frequent (several daily) crashes of the xmanager.
I am running windows 7 32-bit and Xmanager in passive mode.
It worked fine for the full 30-day trial period, but as soon as a actually bought a license, it started crashing :-(

Can I get a refund?

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the latest version, but it keeps crashing.

It is difficult to analyze the problem without error logs. Please send us your error log to support@netsarang.com.

Also, in order for us to assist you promptly, please let us know the following information:

1. What is the name and version of the remote server?
2. When Xmanager crashes, does it create any error messages?

Re: Xmanager keeps crashing

How do I access this error log? The only thing I get is an alert about the crash. I have attached the window. It says something else very shortly before turning to this window, but it is too quick for me to actually read and capture it before I get this other alert window.
