Re: xmanager.exe CPU usage up to 50%

Xmanager is a display server and it uses CPU to draw UI's on screen. CPU usage may go up temporarily when there are a lot of stuff to update on screen (i.e. 3D or UI changes). This is normal. It's only a problem if the CPU usage stays or increases.

Re: xmanager.exe CPU usage up to 50%

Thanks for your help! Our users use RemoteDesktop(RDP) connect to a windows server installed xmanager. After they finish their job, sometimes they just cann't close the xmanger windows.I'm not sure if there are some problems with their computer. Then they choose to close the RDP connection instead. In fact, the xmanager process is still running,so comes the high CPU
usage problem. We need to logoff their RDP session to kill the xmanager process.

Re: xmanager.exe CPU usage up to 50%

Please try using the Terminate at reset option. You can find this option in the General tab of the Xconfig Default Properties dialog box. To open this,

1. Open Xconfig
2. Double click on the Default profile.
3. Select Multiple window mode for Windows Mode
4. Select the Terminate at reset option

If the problem persists, please send us the following information:

1. What is the Windows version where Xmanager is installed?
2. What is the name and version of the X application (Linux application) you use with Xmanager?
3. Are you accessing Xmanager via Windows terminal service?
