Xstart changing display to 8 bit everytime it is launched

I have an issue where someone launches Xstart and the display changes to 8 bit.

I have tried all the xconfig display settings and also uninstalling and re-installing xmanager with no success.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Re: Xstart changing display to 8 bit everytime it is launched

This problem may occur when Window is configured to use 8 bit mode. For example, if you are connecting to a terminal service from a PC, the RDP client may be set to use low resolution for higher network performance.

As we understand Flextrade is usually accessed via Citrix or Terminal Server. Please check the RDP visual settings and make sure the bit mode is configured to 16 or 32 bits.

Also, Xmanager executable may have been configured to run in 256 color mode. To fix this problem:

1. Find the Xmanager executable (Xmanager.exe)
2. Right click on the file and select Properties
3. Select the Compatibility tab
4. Clear the ?Run in 256 colors? option
