auto-raise not always working

Recently, on advice from Support, I upgraded Xmanager 2.0 to the latest build (0740) in order to see if it would resolve a problem with the latest build of Xshell 3.0 Beta (build 0084).

I now find that auto-raise seems to only work reliably if the delay is set to a value less than 110ms. Previously, I had been using a value of 200ms, but it no longer seems to work with this value.

Is there anything I need to do to get auto-raise working properly with a delay setting of > 110ms?

Re: auto-raise not always working

We have tested the auto-raise function with Xmanager 2.0 Build 0740 and Xshell 3.0 Beta Build 0084, but the problem could not be duplicated. Please provide us the following information:

1. MS Windows version
2. Name/version of UNIX and application creating this problem
3. Any notable system configuration that may cause this problem

Thank you for your cooperation.

Re: Re: auto-raise not always working

1. My OS is Windows XP SP2 running on an Acer Veriton 2800.

2. I am connecting to several different Unix hosts running either Compaq Tru64 UNIX V5.1B or SunOS 5.8. I am mostly running xterm, but also such things as xcb, xclock, dtcalc, xvile, etc. The autoraise problem occurred with all of these applications.

3. As mentioned, the problem only started after upgrading Xshell 3.0 beta to build 0084.

However, I had encountered another problem (reported on the Xshell forum) after upgrading Xshell, in which Xmanager was no longer starting or recognising an already running Xagent. The advice in relation to this problem was to upgrade to the newly released build 0750 of Xmanager 2.0.

After upgrading Xmanager 2.0 to build 0750 this morning, the Xagent is now working properly, and the autoraise problem has also disappeared.
