how to change the default font size

Hi Guys,

I know we can change the font size by the right click while holding the Ctrl key, but how can I change the default font size? I don't want to change the font size for every session.
thanks a lot.

Re: how to change the default font size

You can set the default font size in $HOME/.Xdefaults. Create/Open .Xdefaults, and the add the following line.

XTerm*VT100*Font: 9x15
! and make the last two sizes much bigger
XTerm*VT100*Font5: 10x20
XTerm*VT100*Font6: 12x24

Or you can change the font size on the fly with -fn option like following:

/usr/X11R6/bin/xterm -ls -display $DISPLAY -fn 12x24

Enjoy.
