SSH public key authorization

I am using Xmanager 1.3.9 and trying to connect a Linux server which is running OpenSSh 3.1. How should I prepare the public key pairs to use the public key authorization? As I know, public keys have two file formats, SECSH file format and OpenSSH file format. Which public key file formats should I use?

Re: SSH public key authorization

Currently Xmanager doesn't support a public key authentication for SSH v2.0 which is used by OpenSSH 3.1. However, you can use our Xshell program, a secure shell client software. The Xshell launches Xmanager automatically when you run an xterm in the shell prompt. Also, Xshell supports both SECSH and OpenSSH file format. You can create a key and save it into your preferred format.

Re: Re: SSH public key authorization

Would you know if and when you plan for X Manager to support SSH v2 for public key authorization? I do not need it now but I hope to in the future.

Re: Re: Re: SSH public key authorization

We are planning to introduce Xmanager v2.0 with the SSH2 public key authentcation. We hope the new version would be available by the end of this year.
