Cann't connect to matlab running on Linux platform

Cann't connect to matlab running on Linux platform

 
My platform: Window XP professional SP2
Remote platform: Red Hat Linux with Matlab 7.0 release 14.
symptom: no frame around matlab window. So it cannot be moved or resized.

I have tryed, xstart, xshell, and passive session. Neither can get matlab works correctly. The snapshot is attached.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Try the followinig instruction to fix the java application problem:

1. Start Xstart and click Advanced.
RESULT: Advanced Options dialog box opens up.
2. Click the X Server tab.
3. In the Server Profile area, click Configure.
RESULT: Default Profile Properties dialog box opens.
4. Click the General tab.
5. In the Window Mode area, click Settings.
RESULT: Window Mode Settings dialog box opens.
6. Click the Multiple Window Mode tab.
7. In the Window Manager list, select Local Only.
8. Click OK.
9. Restart Xmanager.
