Please read Xmanager FAQ #2, #5 and #12 for the problem.

The problem may be due to a firewall, incorrect DNS or network settings.

For further support, provide us with Xmanager log file at:

C:\Document and Settings\%USER%\Application Data\NetSarang\Xmanager\2\Log\*.log

Hello,

Thanks for your reply soon! I've doen all steps as FAQ # 2,5,12 instructed, but still failed! I thought that was not problem related to DNS, firewall or network because we do not have firewall, using IP address instead of server name & successfully connected to other Linux server!
I attached here log file for more detail!
Hope you resolve trouble for me soon!
Thanks & best regards,

According to the log messages, your Linux responds very slowly. There may be some conflicts in the network settings of your Linux.

First of all, try to add your PC in /etc/hosts of your Linux.
Also, confirm that the DNS settings are correct on Linux. An incorrect DNS setting may cause such a slow response.

Hope this helps you.

Hi,
I have configured the Linux box exactly as per faq #2. I can see the presence of my box in the Xbrowser :)
But double clicking on it still gives me the error: XDMCP Connection failed. I have attached the logs. Could you let me know what has gone wrong..?

Thanks.

Re: Re: Re: Try your product first, buy later but XDMCP connection failed...!

The error log shows that the response of gdm process on Redhat is very slow and unstable.

You need to check the network configuration of Redhat. Sometimes DNS configuration may cause such a slow response. Please try to add your PC to /etc/hosts as following:

192.168.56.15 pcname

You can also try Xmanager on another PC in your site.

Hope this helps you.
