CONNECTING IN FROM HOME

Thanks for the response to the "Willing, but /etc/X11/xdm/Xwilling, failed", my boss is looking at the PC now. We have another question, that I think we know the answer for, but wanted to confirm it, or have you correct us. We want to connect in from home (thru cable modems). From what I have been able to find the procedure would be: 1. On our PCs at home, we would add in the IP address of the PC that has our WINROUTE PRO (a commerical package) on it, and give it a port # (see the next item). 2. In WINROUTE PRO, we tell it that if it comes in on port ###, to connect to port XXXX of IP YYY.YYY.YYYY.YYYY (internal IP). We would appreciate either confirmation, or correction to the above. Thanks...

Re: CONNECTING IN FROM HOME

FAQ #4 has the answer for your question. In the answer, NAT(Network Address Translation) system becomes the PC in which WINROUTE is running.
