rlogin timing problem

Trying to start a remote program on a Redhat 9.0 System via rlogin-call we have then following strange behaviour.
The given executing command is not executed after succesfull user authentication, instead it is "run" somewhere between the "password:"-line and the actual shell prompt i.e. the command is not really executed. Simply nothing happens. This doesn't seem to be a general problem between Xmanager and RedHat 9.0, because in an small-metwork environment where user authenticat is obviously much faster there is no such problem.

Re: rlogin timing problem

Thanks for trying Xmanager 2.0 beta.

Attached is a copy of the modified program. Please uncompress and copy it to "C:\Program Files\NetSarang\Xmanager2" folder.

We would appreciate your feedback.

Re: Re: rlogin timing problem

Thank you for answering so quickly, but unfortunately out customer is still working with Xmanager 1.3.9 since this version is testet with our product. Is the provided Xrcmd.exe compatible with that version of Xmanager.

Re: Re: Re: rlogin timing problem

Unfortunately Xrcmd for v2.0 does not work with v1.3.9.

Could please send us the messages on Execution Result window? You should turn on "Show Execution Result Messages" check box in Xstart.

Using TELNET instead RLOGIN is another solution.

Also, please confirm that the customer is using the latest version of Xmanager (v1.3.9.9 build 6).

Thanks for your cooperation.

Re: Re: Re: Re: rlogin timing problem

I've attached a small jpg-picture showing xmanager output.

Out customer is definitely not using the latest Xmanager since testing that (latest version showed 1 or 2 strange behaviours.
Anyway, how do i execatly find out which version we are currently using. I have never seen anything like build xxxx ....

You can verify the exact version by reading "C:\Program Files\Xmanager1.3.9\Xmanager.log".

We will try to fix the RLOGIN problem and inform you in a few days.
