If you are not able to reboot solaris, just run "dtconfig -reset".

Are you on the same network??
Or is it routed to your server??

Can you connect to it by specifying its name or IP address??

Re: Re: pls : Can Not Found my solaris host in broadcast

My Windows box has a public IP address and there is no problem in connecting to the hosts resided in the same subnet or another network. For the Unix machine in the local network, Xbrowser detects it automatically and for the Unix in other networks, I have to specify it's IP address.

However, when I sit on my notebook that has a private IP address (192.168.1.xxx) I can't connect to the Unix box which is on another network.

Can you see any other devices on other networks from your notebook (do you have a gateway set on your notebook).

Yes, I can see the devices on other networks from my notebook. But connection is not possible. I think it is because Xmanager is a server software which listens a local port and the connection should be established from remote to your local PC. When a connection is from remote to local, the firewall will block it or the remote machine can't reach at your private IP address.

If you let me know more detailed information on your network configuration, I could suggest more accurate solution.
