Xmanager does NOT respect Windows viewport / Taskbar

Xmanager does NOT respect Windows viewport / Taskbar
X icons which (should) run along the bottom are hidden behind the Windows Taskbar. I also use the (old) Office Toolbar and X icons get hidden behind it ...
Please help. Xmanager is a great product ...

Thank you for your feedback.

Xmanager uses the full desktop screen as a root X window. It can't be changed at this time. We'll consider to include an option that can solve this problem in the next version.

It should be very easy. When???
This seems to be my only complaint with your excellent product.

Re: Re: Re: Xmanager does NOT respect Windows viewport / Taskbar

The root window cannot be resized during running session, so the size should be predetermined by user. This causes some conflicts between local and remote window manager. We will consider a seamless way to solve the conflicts and include it in the next update if possible.

In the mean time, you can try Single Window Mode with a custom window size or with a full screen option in the Xconfig program.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Xmanager does NOT respect Windows viewport / Taskbar

Pardon me. It is very easy and there is no conflict. Almost every other Windows program does this. For example, I am currenly using Netscape and it handles this easily/automatically. So does IE etc.

On startup, they correctly identify the WorkArea, NOT the entire screen. When I click the Window's Maximize button, they fill the WorkArea, NOT the entire screen. I have attached the doc. from MS Visual Studio:
The work area is the portion of the screen not obscured by the
taskbar. To retrieve the size of the work area, call the
SystemParametersInfo function with the SPI_GETWORKAREA value set.

The X root window should be the (entire) WorkArea, NOT the entire screen.

Thank you for your information.

Your suggestion will be considered to be included in the next version. If the taskbar moves around to another corner, X root window should be resized appropriately. However, Xmanager shouldn't change the root window size on the fly. We should resolve this problem.

Thanks again for your great feedback.

Thank you for your feedback.

The problem has been solved partially and we are planning to update it in a couple of weeks.
