Opening new Xshell/Xftp sessions super slow

When opening new XFTP or Xshell sessions, it can take 12 to 30 seconds for the new tab/window to appear. The Xshell/XFTP windows lock up, the title bar displays "Not Responding" then it comes back with the new tab/window. Duplicating a connection used to be instantaneous but now it is painful. I am running the fully licensed version of Xmanager Suite 5 Build 1249.

I have a 1TB SSD C: Drive, running on a DELL workstation with XEON E5-1620 3.5GHx CPU and 32GB of RAM.

Windows 10 Pro - 64 bit ver 1709

Program Ver. : Xftp 5

Hi Tony,

Windows 10 Build 1709 (Fall Creator's Update) has an issue which is affecting multiple programs, not just Xshell. Microsoft if aware of the problem and we believe the issue should be resolved soon.

We are, however, keeping an eye out for any temporary fixes that may be available in the meantime. We'll keep our users updated. Thank you for your patience.

Ok. Thanks. We have a few people using Xmanager Enterprise 5 and a few of us are seeing this issue. It seems to go away after a fresh restart but creeps up again after a while.

Yes, a restart seems to fix the problem, but only temporarily, which causes a lot of users to believe the issue has been fixed after a Windows Update, when in fact, it has not.

We're hearing rumors that a Windows 10 hotfix is set for January 23rd, but Microsoft has not come out and said anything officially, which is frustrating.

In the meantime, we're attempting to find temporary solutions or workarounds. We'll keep our users updated with anything new. Appreciate your patience.
