How to uninstall Xmanager

  1. Open Control Panel
  2. Under View by:, select Large Icons, and then click Programs and Features
  3. Select Xmanager 5 or Xmanager Enterprise 5
  4. Click Uninstall
  5. Follow the instructions on screen

I've lost my product key. Where can I find it?

How do I perform silent (unattended) installation/uninstallation?

  1. Creating a response file
    Install Xmanager as following:

    C:\TEMP> xmgr30.exe -r -f1c:\temp\xinstall.iss

    After successful installation, a response file, xinstall.iss, will be created in the temp directory.

  2. Silent installation
    Using the response file created above, you can install Xmanager silently in another PC using. Please do the following steps:

    C:\TEMP> xmgr30.exe -s -f1c:\temp\xinstall.iss -f2c:\temp\result.log

    *A silent installation will create a log file.
You can do the same steps for uninstallation. First, create an "xuninstall.iss" by following step 1 and uninstall Xmanager in another PC using the response file.

Now that I have purchased Xmanager, do I need to download any additional files? And how can I apply my product key?

Xmanager evaluation is a fully functional copy and there is no need to reinstall additional software. To apply your product key follow the steps below:
  1. Open Xbrowser.
  2. From the Help menu, click About Xbrowser.
  3. Click Enter Product Key.
    RESULT: Registration window opens up.
  4. Enter your product key and click OK.
Also, expiration date notice window will not appear again once you apply your product key.

While installing Xmanager, I get the following error message: 'RegDBSetKeyValueEx failed'.

This error occurs when the user does not have enough privilege to write on the system registry. Please try installing again with an administrator account. If you still see the same error with an administrator account, there are some applications that may be causing the problem.

For example, application such as Easy DVD by Packard Bell can prevent system registry change. If you are using Easy DVD, there is a patch that fixes this problem. Please apply the patch before installing our products.

I am an evaluation user. What product key do I need to enter during the installation?

For the evaluation users, just type "evaluation" for the product key. You can evaluate our products for 30 days.

When I enter my product key during the installation, I get the following error message: 'The product key you have entered is not valid for this version or has been expired'.

We offer two Xmanager editions, Xmanager Standard and Xmanager Enterprise. Please make sure you are installing the edition that you have purchased the license for.
*Please include hyphen (-) when you enter the product key.
