How to uninstall Xlpd

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Under View by:, select Large Icons, and then click Programs and Features.
  3. Select Xlpd 5.
  4. Click Uninstall.
  5. Follow the instructions on screen.

My printer shows its processing but nothing is being printed

This problem may occur when you are printing a single page document or when printing the last page of a document with multiple pages. Some laser printers wait for the 'Form Feed' signal before they start printing. To resolve this problem, select 'Append FF (Form Feed) to end of data' option under the Queue properties dialog box.
  1. Click the Properties button on Xlpd.
  2. Click on the Print tab.
  3. Select the 'Append FF (Form Feed) to end of data' option.

Why is Xlpd printing garbage characters?

The formatting feature works only if the content is in plain text. If the requested print job has been processed through printer driver on UNIX/Linux, you should not use the formatting feature. If you are printing PS (PostScript) or PCL (Printer data form of HP) files, make sure to select the 'Print data without formatting' option.
