Hi,
When I was running Cadence (a circuit simulator) on my school's remote linux machine through Xmanager 4, the program crashed halfway. After that I can no longer open Cadence again because it keeps telling me some disk quota exceeded error messages. But worst of all is that when I disconnect and reconnect to my school's remote linux machine through Xmanager 4 again I can't even do so because it keeps telling me "/usr/bin/xauth: error in locking authority file /afs/ir/users/h/p/hphsu/.Xauthority", "** (gnome-session:7297): WARNING **: Unable to lock ICE authority file: /afs/ir/users/h/p/hphsu/.ICEauthority". I'm quite stuck because I can't find a solution. Can you give me some advice?

There are two issues here:

1. Your disk quota is reached. You need to make space in your $HOME directory by erasing unused files or ask school to increase your quota.

2. .Xauthority file is locked. To solve this, use Xshell to access text based terminal via SSH or Telnet and erase the following files:

/afs/ir/users/h/p/hphsu/.Xauthority
/afs/ir/users/h/p/hphsu/.ICEauthority
