I can't choose transfer type if i use ssh

The user case is like this:
I ssh telnet to a server. And ctrl+alt+f to open a xftp.
Then you can see only binary can be used for transfer type. I can't switch other types.
But if i use ftp ( no ssh ) to a server. I can see three types are available to choose.
I think this is a bug.

That doesn't make sense.
I am also using F-Secure SSH client which is also with a ftp client. Use that ftp client to connect to the *same* server. On that software, i can switch different transfer type.

In order to further investigate this problem, could you send us the following information?
1. Please describe your problem and how we can duplicate the problem
2. Name/version of the remote server
3. Name/version of your SSH(SFTP) server
