We always experience errors while trasfer large quantity files and folders or huge size files in several scenarios, either stop transfer or finined with wrong file size.

We usually need tranfer around 1000-2000 files total about 2gb-4gb on size and 50-100 layers deep in folders or several 1Tb single files from our Vista laptop with external storage to our AIX 5.3 servers and/or SAN storage via either 54Mb wireless or 100Mb/1gb Lan.

While using Wireless with either wireless bridge or not, files has very little chance to transfer properly, either stop transfer or not correctly transfered.

using Lan will eventurly improve the transfer quality. But errors may still happen. We reduced the multi-transfer number to 1 and force to Binary trasfer instead AUTO, this will significant reduce the chances that errors happen, but this will slow the transfer speed. this make us quiet frustrating while we are quite like your product.

We had tried the other ftp products, even AIX ftp it's self, maybe slower, but much reliable than your product.

I also meet the same problem when transfer large file (*.tar.gz). the file will corrupted after transfer. Other ftp client, such as filezilla, will succeed for the same file.

I also had the same experiance while using xftp in xmanager-3 , xftp make file currupt while tranferring but same file get transfferd correctelctlly if xmanager 2.1 is used

Thank you for reporting the problem. We will look into this and see if we can duplicate the problem.

Meanwhile, if you can provide us with more information on how we can duplicate this problem, it would greatly reduce the time for troubleshooting this.

Any update?

The problem could not be duplicated from our end. It seems the problem only occurs under certain conditions and it will be hard for us to duplicate this unless we can find out what is triggering this problem.

We will further try to duplicate the problem as we gather more information from other users and post any updates here.
